To be eligible for an offer of accommodation you must:
Apply online by the specified due date
Have a satisfactory confidential reference from your school
Victoria House accepts full-time students studying both at Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) or at alternative tertiary institutions (Non-VUW). These students will most-likely stay for our full academic year. Residents are selected according to the University's guaranteed offer and equity criteria, to create a diverse hall community by considering gender balance, cultural diversity, degree type and geographical representation.

Due to the high number of applications we receive, first year students are prioritized in our selection. Applications from returning students are not guaranteed an offer.
Victoria House accommodates 182 residents:
140 residents in single rooms
40 residents in twin-share rooms.
2 residents in premium rooms.
Note:
We try to place each resident in their first preference of room, however this can not be guaranteed.

2023 applications open.
15 September 2023
Halls start to review applicants. Last day to change hall preferences.
1 October 2023
First round of applications close and halls review applications.
From mid-October 2023
Initial offers sent to applicants.
October 2022 – February 2023
Offers made to late applicants and those in the application pool as students withdraw and places become available.
17 February 2024
Move-in day for Victoria House.
